Chandigarh, February 15: A meeting of the governing body of the Jan Arogya Kalyan Samiti was held at the General Multi-Speciality Hospital in Sector-16, Chandigarh. The meeting was chaired by the Member of Parliament from Chandigarh, Mr. Manish Tewari. It was attended by the Mayor of Chandigarh, Mrs. Harpreet Kaur Babla, the Deputy Commissioner of Chandigarh, Mr. Nishant Yadav, the Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation, Mr. Amit Kumar, the Director of the hospital, Dr. Suman Singh, along with other doctors and officials.
Emphasis on Quality Healthcare Mr. Tewari stressed that every effort must be made to ensure that patients receive the best treatment on a priority basis. He also lauded the contribution of government hospital doctors, acknowledging their dedication to public service over private sector opportunities.
Holistic Review and Future Planning It was discussed that a comprehensive review of the available facilities at the government multi-speciality hospital should be conducted. Based on this review, a four-year plan should be developed to enhance these facilities for the benefit of the public.
Optimized Utilization of Funds Highlighting the need for better fund allocation, Mr. Tewari pointed out that the capital expenditure incurred by the hospital is relatively low. He emphasized that the available funds with the Jan Arogya Kalyan Samiti should be allocated more towards capital investments rather than operational expenses.
Strategic Planning for Fund Utilization Mr. Tewari advised hospital officials to prepare a comprehensive, holistic plan to ensure a well-coordinated approach for utilizing the funds available with the Jan Arogya Kalyan Samiti, a registered society. The goal is to optimize financial resources to enhance healthcare infrastructure and services.
