Chandigarh, February 26, 2025 – The Office of the Dean Students Welfare, Panjab University, Chandigarh, organized a grand Rudrabhishek and Havan Pujan on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri at Shiv Mandir, GH-6, PU. The event was graced by Prof. Renu Vig, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, as the Chief Guest, along with esteemed dignitaries, faculty members, wardens, students, and staff of the university.

The program witnessed the presence of Prof. Amit Chauhan (Dean Student Welfare), Prof. Simrit Kahlon (Dean Student Welfare – Women), and Prof. Naresh Kumar (ADSW), who collectively emphasized the spiritual and cultural significance of the occasion. The event was a perfect blend of devotion and community bonding, fostering a sense of unity among students and staff.

This grand spiritual event was collaboratively organized under the aegis of the Dean Student Welfare Office by Dr. Naveen Kumar, Warden (Boys Hostel No. 4), and Dr. Manisha Sharma, Warden (Girls Hostel No. 6). Their efforts ensured that the event was conducted seamlessly, offering students an opportunity to immerse themselves in divine blessings.
Adding to the vibrancy of the celebration, Sartaj Singh (Resident, BH-4) and Renu and Diksha (GH-6) took the lead as student coordinators, efficiently managing the event with dedication and enthusiasm. Their meticulous planning and commitment played a pivotal role in making the celebration a memorable one. After the Havan Pujan, Prasad was distributed among all attendees, spreading joy and positivity.
