Chandigarh: 02 :The 10-day Summer Annual Training Camp conducted by 1 Chandigarh Girls Batallion of NCC Group Headquarters, concluded at Govt. College for Girls, , Sector-42, Chandigarh today.
A total 283 Cadets of Senior Wing & Junior Wing of various Colleges and Schools of the City Beautiful participated in the camp. The cadets learned about the PT Drill firing, service subjects like, Map reading, Field craft Battle Craft, Health & Hygiene, Yoga and other aspects which will make them disciplined, independent, and successful in life, in whatever career they choose.
Apart from NCC activities, adventure activities like artificial rock climbing, Trekking and sight seeing were also carried out.
The cadets also took part in, Anti-Tobacco, Anti female foeticide and Anti-Drug rallies.
Camp Commandant Lt Col Albel Singh Sidhu said that the main objective of the camp was to inculcate discipline and self reliance among the cadets as also to impart them training in the handling of small Arms.
