Chandigarh : Dr. Rita Jain, who is also the head of the mathematics department, here today officially took charge as the Principal of DAV College, Chandigarh. Notably, she is the first woman Principal in the history of the college who will act as a head of the institute.
On this occasion she thanked the almighty and said that she will try her best to work hard for the betterment of the college, teachers and students. She also motivated the teachers to work with more sincerity and integrity. Shri H.R. Gandhar, from Management, Dr. Pawan Sharma and many other faculty members congratulated Dr. Rita Jain madam as she took charge as officiating Principal of the college. Incidentally, Rita Jain Madam took charge when the reins of Vice-Chancellor, of Panjab university, S.S.P of the city are also in the hands of a woman.
