Chandigarh : After ban of bad songs on FM Radio, now Panditrao demands ban of bad songs on TV Cannels and You Tube.He has sent several complaints against TV channels who are playing Gun Culture, drugs and alcohol promoting songs.
Panditrao has said that just banning songs on FM radios is not enough but central government has to remove all old songs from You Tube which promote Gun Culture, drugs and alcohol promoting songs, failing which he will mention about it on his upcoming Contempt of Court hearing in the month of January 2023 in Honorable Panjab b and Haryana High Court
It is to remember Panditrao filed Public Interest litigation in 2016 against bad songs in Honorable Panjab and Haryana High Court. On his petition, Honorable Court finally gave direction to DGP Panjab, Harayan and Chandigarh to not to allow Gun Culture, drugs and alcohol promoting songs anywhere even in love shows. Honorable Court also observed that the glorification of violence has given rise to culture of gangsters in the states of Panjab, Haryana and Chandigarh. Honorable Court also observed that these songs affect the children of impressionable age.
It is also to remember that Panjab government recently banned Gun culture promoting songs recently and registered several FIRs against singers, recording companies and producers.
Panditrao , assistant professor of Sociology in government College, sector 46 Chandigarh, has said that the“Salient Revolution”is taking place in India against bad culture to purify rich Indian culture.
