26 July : Bharatiya Janata Party today observed Shaurya Divas on the occasion of ‘Kargil Vijay Divas’. On this occasion three programs at different places were held.
The Kisan Morcha Chandigarh held a program at Panchayat Ghar, Behlana under the leadership of Sh. Mohinder Singh President of the Morcha. Sh. Harmohan Dhawan, senior BJP leader and former Central Minister was the main speaker on the occasion. Prominent activists present on the occasion include Sh. Ramvir Bhatti, Shingara Singh, Harbhajan Singh Maru & others.
The Colony Cell, BJP and SC Morcha held a Torch Light Procession in Bapu Dham Chandigarh under the leadership of Sh. Dalip Sharma, President of Colony Cell and Sh. Zora Singh, President SC Morcha. Sh. Sanjay Tandon, President BJP Chandigarh was the main speaker on the occasion. Besides this Smt. Sarita Sharma, Councillor, Satinder Singh, Shakti Prakash Devshali, Sunil Sharma, Hari Shankar Mishra, Sanjeev Sharma, Raj Kishore, Peerumal, Pushpa Sharma, Mewa Lal & Sippo attended the programme. A huge number of local residents along with ‘Mashaal’ in their hands started the procession from Phase I and passed through Phase II, Tenaments, Phase-III, and culminated near Balmiki Mandir where the rally was addressed by the leaders.
The Minority Morcha of BJP also organized a programme at Colony No. 5 under the leadership of Sh. Khursheed Ahmed. Sh. Desraj Gupta and Ramesh Kumar Nikku were the main speakers where hundreds of activists of Minority Morcha paid floral tributes to the heores of Kargil war. Prominent activists who were present on the occasion include Rais, Ikram, Dr. Anwar Ali, Saleem, Gurpreet Singh Dhillon, Baljinder Gujral, Swaraj Upadhyay and others.
While addressing the rally Sh. Sanjay Tandon said that Indian soldiers showed their bravery from time to time in saving the borders of country. The countrymen are thankful to the soldiers who laid their life for the cause of nation. The whole nation remembers those great heroes on this occasion and pay their tribute.
