Chandigarh, July 5: As the football fever reaches its crescendo with the Fifa World Cup last four stage getting underway on July 7, RIO, The Boutique Hotel in Sector 43, on Monday celebrated the first ever championship victory of the Chandigarh team in the Junior National Under-19 Football Championship for the Dr B.C.Roy Trophy which concluded in Kolkata recently.
In continuation of its social commitment, the Hotel organized a get together to honour and motivate the team members, its technical staff and officials of the Chandigarh Football Association. The get together consisted of the Brazilian style unlimited BBQ (barbeque) and Buffet that it has been offering its guests ever since the FIFA Cup kick started.
The hotel has been contributing immensely to whipping up the football fever in the city during the World Cup. Besides erecting large sized posters of the football stars on its facade (picture attached), and showing its customers the matches live on big screens, it has also been distributing high quality complimentary footballs, vuvuzellas and T-Shirts among its customers during the championships.
Hotel RIO has been a socially conscious hospitality enterprise, it has been conducting seminars to promote organic food culture, and to inform the general public regarding the GM free foods. etc. It has been holding various projects along with the Rotary Clubs especially for blood donation and anti polio drive and taking care of the slum children.
