Chandigarh, May 13: Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) has alleged government protection to the criminals in the state.Reacting to the recent spate of criminal incidents & loots in different parts of the Haryana, INLD state president Mr Ashok Arora said that law enforcing agencies in the state has failed to curb the criminals & their activities because the criminals are being protected by their political bosses. A vicious police-politician-criminal nexus has been developed in the state, which is not a good omen for the democracy and the civil society, he said. Mr Arora said that the situation is deteriorating day by day and the situation has become so bad that the people have lost their faith in the government & the police. He said that robberies, looting incidents, murders, abductions and ransom calls have become order of the day and part of daily news items.INLD leader said that the police force’s morale has been dampened due to the government protection to the criminals. He said that this ‘disturbing development’ was not a small development and should not be viewed through the political prism but was a serious warning for the state. He said that if the government failed to curb this in time the situation would become uncontrollable and irreparable loss would be done. The future generations would not forgive the present government & its follies, he added.
Mr Arora said that Panipat train robberies, Jhelum Express train robbery attempt, 36 lakh robbery by Motor cycle borne armed gangsters from an Accountant & his killing in Madlauda police station of Panipat, Petrol pump loot from Mullana, Dumper looting in Rewari, various looting incidents in Rohtak & NCR regions, ransom calls to the traders in NCR region, Truck loot incident of Sonepat has unnerved the common-men but ironically the Haryana government seem to have no concern.
Mr Arora said that the situation is worse in the home district of the chief minister where many looting incidents have been reported in a single day.INLD leader said that the situation warrants immediate attention of the government. He said that the worsening law & order situation is a serious matter of concern.
