Manoj Godara, Chandigarh, October 07: The Centre for Advanced Study in Geography of the Panjab University has invited the candidates interested to join basic courses in Remote Sensing, GIS and GPS through distance learning using the facility of EDUSAT.
Dr Krishna Mohan, Chairperson of the Geography Department of the University informed today that the fifth course in the series will commence in the current month shortly. Conducted by the National Natural Resources Management System, the course designed for a total 60 hours is structured into four modules.
The Panjab University conducts such programmes in collaboration with Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun for the benefit of teachers, research fellows and students working especially in the disciplines of geography, geology, botany, zoology, anthropology, environmental science and development studies in the University and the affiliated colleges located in Chandigarh. The candidates desirous of joining the course may contact Prof. Surya Kant of the geography department for details of the programme and registration.
