Barinder Saluja, Chandigarh,July, 27 : Sakubai, rules the Hearts. Audience never stopped clapping for Sarita Joshi, who enthralled the Jam pack Tagore Theater with her versatility, on the 4th and the concluding day of the Chandigarh Theater Festival. Ba Bahu & Baby serial fame “Ba”, aka Sakubai aka Sarita Joshi, single handidly moulded the emotions while performing in the play Sakubai. The play has been Directed by Nadira Zaheer Babbar, and the performance of Sarita Joshi completed it. The play revolves around the life cycle of a Marathi house maid called “Sakubai”, a character which is found in each ones house, who’s childhood, youth and old age were dramatised in such a way that the solo performance of Sarita Joshi went through all the moods of the character, suddenly becoming hilarious & other moment giving a serious touch. The ultimate talent of Sarita Joshi kept the interest of the audience intact every moment of the play till end.
The Chief Guest for today’s function was Chief Justice of Punjab & Haryana High Court, Justice Mukul Mudgal, who was escorted by UT Home Secretary Mr. Ram Niwas and other eminent personalities including Theater artists. Both the bureaucrats thoroughly enjoyed the performance of Mrs. Joshi in the play “Sakubai”and the audience laughed to their fullest. In the end, Mr. Ram Niwas appaluded the presence and co-operation the the theater lovers of Chandigarh and promised to bring lots of more festivals of these types in the coming future.
