Sewa Singh Bali said all temporary employees working in various departments of Jammu and Kashmir are guided by SRO 520 which provide them regularization after completion of 10 years of service, whereas SPOs Who are temporary employees of the Police department are never regularised by the government and till today there is no policyPromulgated by the government which deals the Regularization ofSPOs.
Sewa Singh Bali further added all spos working in police department are doing equal duties as compared to constables even getting Gallantry award for their valour but Still getting less salary as compared to constables which is not Permissible in welfare state like India.
Sewa Singh Bali also said Police Department is also disengaging SPOs On pick and choose basis without following any rational criteria And advertising new posts for engagement of SPOs without considering the fact that disengaged SPOs are fully adverse with the duties and responsibilities of Spos therefore before Considering new appointees government should formulate some policy for disengaged Spos. As their services were terminated by the department at such a stage in their life where they have become ineligible for any other government job.
Sewa Singh Bali further said in aforesaid regard time and again various memorandums have been given to the office of honourable Prime Minister of India and Home minister of India and same is forwarded to Jammu and Kashmir administration for Redressal but till date Jammu and Kashmir administration have failed to formulate any policy for spos who are Working in state of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh Therefore. In this regard a big Protest against the government of Jammu and Kashmir will be held on 16th March with the slogan ‘karoya maro’ so that the government should understand the seriousness of the aforementioned issue.
