Bhopal:Sunday, October 10 : Photos highlighting the development works done under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and the causes that changed the lifestyle of people will be given prizes. The Madhya Pradesh State Employment Guarantee Council has organised this competition. The entries for the competition are invited till October 15.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Madhya Pradesh Employment Guarantee Council Shri Shivshekhar Shukla said that the competition will be organized in three categories. The first category would be for those photo journalists and free lance journalists who had got published the photos and news in newspapers and periodicals about success of the scheme. The second category would be for those photo journalists and free lance journalists whose photos and news were not published. The third category is for the social workers and Panchayat Raj representatives and NGOs who would submit photos and articles.
The first prize would carry Rs 11 thousand and the second prize Rs 5 thousand in each category. The competitions are mainly based on photographs. Along with each entry there should be captions for the photographs, name of the person, place and a write up on the positive change of lifestyle of people. The write up should not be more than 200 words. The C D of each entry must be submitted otherwise the entries are bound to be rejected.
The state government will have all the rights about each entry received. The government has the right to publish it in its publications and the participants will have no claim over it. The participant should send all information including name, address, category to which the entry is sent, phone number and email address. Those who are interested to participate should deposit the entries latest by October 15 by 5 PM at the office of the Madhya Pradesh Employment Guarantee Council. Entries received after the last date will not be entertained. Officers and employees of the Rural Development Department are not eligible to participate. Information about selection and prize will be intimated to the concerned participants. Results of the competition will be declared on October 25 and the prizes will be distributed on November 1, the Foundation Day of Madhya Pradesh.
