By P.D.Bhatia : SIDDHIVINAYAK MARG RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION has been a pioneer in terms of bringing Social and Civic changes in Mira-Bhayander.We believe in the cause of Giving or Helping and to work for the cause of Humanity.
In our endeavor to curtail the use of plastic bags SMRA had approached the Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation.
The Commissioner of MBMC Mr.Shiv Murthy Naik told us that they as a Municipal Body are doing all what they can for bringing a ban on plastic bags but the initiative has to come from people for doing the same.
So we as an NGO suggested that MBMC and SMRA together can work towards the goal of attaining a Plastic free city and for which we will do a drive “BE THE CHANGE SAY NO TO PLASTIC BAGS” for which we will be distributing FREE Non Woven Bags to each house across Mira Bhayander starting from Bhayander (west),Also we will be making a documentary film on the same for which Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation will be funding.On part of the Municipal Corporation it will run a drive for seizing plastic bags every day for an entire month from the city.
The goal is to save Nature and attaining a city without Choked drains which leads to flooding and losses to people.
We the Members on the Body of SMRA are also contributing for the cause and wish that all those who care for the Environment and believe that we can bring a change should contribute to this cause.
The works of SMRA are already on our website www.smra.in , where in we have put a lot of efforts by working day and night for having a better city and better environment,whether its water logging problems,Open Manholes or dumping of Garbage on open spaces or burning of it, SMRA has been always on forth to work towards a goal of “BE THE CHANGE”
We wish to make this a success with the help of all Like minded people and Organizations
and we approach you with the same thought, as even you as an Individual or an Organization do care for Nature.
So do contribute for this Cause and play a part for Bringing the Change.
