Chandigarh January 7 : Congress Member of Parliament Mr. Deepender Singh Hooda today said that Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar had dreamt of an educated society and realizing his dreams, efforts has been made by the present State Government that no children in the State remain deprived of education for the want of money.
Mr. Hooda was addressing the people after unveiling the statue of Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar at village Aanwal in district Rohtak today.
On this occasion, Mr. Hooda also inaugurated Mahila Chaupal and Dhanak Chaupal.
Mr. Hooda said that the present State Government is forwarding the vision of Dr. Ambedkar which he had towards the education. He said that more than 18 lakh children in the State were being given scholarship under the Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Scholarship Scheme. While taking a dig at the previous INLD-BJP Government, Mr. Hooda said that there was a time when there was an atmosphere of hooliganism in the State but contrary to that, during the more than eight years tenure of present State Government, inclusive development has been ensured in the State. Schemes and Programmes have been implemented for all 36 biridaris, he added.
While referring to the development that has undertaken during the last more than eight years tenure of present State Government, Mr. Hooda said that network of roads and rails and development of infrastructural facilities is the indicative of the fast pace development in the State. He said that it was a matter of concern that in 35 years after the formation of separate Haryana, not even a single rail line was laid whereas, during the tenure of Present Government the State has got six new rail lines. Besides the National Highways, more than 71 Railway Over Bridges were constructed during the tenure of present State Government.
While speaking as a Chief Guest in the Mehtab Singh Memorial Tournament organized at Maharshi Dayanand University, Mr. Hooda said that it was the result of the sports culture which has developed due to the efforts of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda that the Players of Haryana has brought laurers to the State and the Country in prestigious sports competitions like Commonwealth and Olympics.
Later, while speaking at the Bharat Kesri Kushti Dangal at village Sudana, Mr. Hooda said that today the players from Haryana have made their mark at international level. On this occasion, Mr. Hooda honoured Mr. Joginder who has won the Bharat Kesri Kushti Dangal by defeating Satyvart of village Dubaldhan in the final match.
