Chhattisgarh government on Sunday removed the Chairman of the State Professional Examination Board Vijendra Singh and Controller of examination of the Board, BP Tripathi, following the leak of papers of the medical entrance test in Raipur.
Following the leak, the state government cancelled the examination which was being taken by nearly 20 thousand candidates.The new dates would be announced soon, the exam authorities said on Sunday.Police have arrested 12 youths in connection with the leak which came to light last night.The arrested persons include some students of dental and medical colleges.
Additional SP, Raipur, Lal Umed Singh said that acting on a tip-off police raided a house in Takhatpur village in Bilaspur district and found that some 80 PMT aspirants were being tutored on the basis of the leaked paper.
Police suspects that one Santosh alias Sanjay is the kingpin of the inter-state racket, which leaked the paper.
