Finally the long term pending demands of the employess of NRHM, Punjab came on the decision table for implementation. In the meeting held on Thursday late evening between the respected Mission Director NRHM – Sh. S.K. Sharma, Dr. Inderjeet Rana State President NRHM Employees’ Association, Punab along with the other members of state body. In the meeting, it was decided that as per the present financial status of NRHM, all the employees will be given the salaries as per the PIP(Pogramme Implementation Plan) 2011-12 along with 15% increment.
This decision will be implemented w.e.f. 1-12-2011. Along with that in the month of February 2012, this matter will again be reviewed and will be presented in the improved way in the interest of employees as per the financial condition of NRHM at that very moment of time. Here it needs to mention that for NRHM, GOI gives 85% share and the state contributes 15% and for the current financial year, the state share of 15% is yet pending with the state govt.
The other achievement for NRHM employees is that they got their Service rules for the first time in the past five years that primarily includes Medical leave of 15 days with pay, 12 days casual leave for male employees & 15 days casual leave for female employees along with two restricted leaves, maternity leave, yearly increment of 6% on completition of contract of one year.
On the behalf of NRHM Employees’ Association Dr.Inderjeet Rana has thanked the Punjab Govt. specially H’ble Chief Minister, Health Minister, Principal Secretary and Mission Director and has further appealed them to implement the other pending demands sooner. He also thanked all the NRHM employees who joined hand in hands in this struggle.
