Jammu,11 Apr:Those who are equating Kashmir with Tibet and trying to malign the forces by raising the boggy of human rights as also otherwise, cannot be called as nationalists and friends of India.
This was asserted by the former Union Minister and a senior leader of the BJP, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta while addressing a gathering at Jandi in Hiranagar Sector bordering Pakistan. He said Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India whereas the position of Tibet was quite different. But it was unfortunate that the National Conference and some other such like elements for their own ends, are trying to equate Kashmir with Tibet for Autonomy like matters.Prof. Gupta praised the great role of the Indian troops in defending borders and providing security to the people in Jammu and Kashmir against heavy odds. It was ridiculous that the PDP and some others including the coalition partners as also some others with communal mindset were raising too much cries on the issue of human rights although the Indian Army has a high track record for service to the humanity in any difficult situation, he added and recalled to their services during earthquake or any other eventualities.
The BJP leader lashed upon the Congress coalition of the state and of the Centre and regretted over the neglect of many border areas. In this regard, he referred to the special allotment of funds for development works during the NDA regime at the Centre but such an approach has been negated after the change of guards at New Delhi.
Prof. Gupta castigated the UPA government policies alleging their economic policies allowing foreign companies to meddle in food matters, have led to sharp rise in the prices because of the common man is the worst sufferer. Poors are getting it hard to have even two ends meet but still the claims are being made of progress and Khushali.
At the gathering the villagers narrated their sufferings on account of ever mounting unemployment, poor supply of electricity and other basic necessities of life.
The BJP leader asked the people to prepare themselves to get rid of those rulers and parties who are responsible for their sufferings and miseries and encouraging separatism and terrorism directly and indirectly.
