As a country, we lagged behind other countries as far as cleanliness is concerned. But our Hon’ble Prime Minister has changed that mindset by launching this Swachchta Hi Seva Abhiyan. We have to shun this notion that keeping their surroundings clean is somebody else’s job and not ours. All of us need to own that if we can cause litter, we will have to clean it also.”
The Director further said, “It is an old adage that cleanliness is next to Godliness. As we all know cleanliness and health go hand in hand. The right to health is very closely linked to clean environment and every individual is responsible to protect each others’ human rights. Being healthcare professionals, we need to be rather role models for others to emulate.” The teams ably led by nodal officers cleaned Residential Area, Sec-12, Lawns outside New OPD, Langar Area (Outside Gate No. 1 PGI), Hansraj Sarai and Gole Market during the Mega Cleanliness Drive.
