October 19, 2012, Dr IT Group of institutes, Banur, a premier group of institutes in Near Chandigarh, organized the Young-tarang 2012 for the MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA, Bsc (ATHM),B.Com and polytechnic classes at its Banur campus, today. The program was inaugurated by, Prof. P. P. Arya the Managing Director, of the group, by lamp lightening ceremony. The inauguration leads to the beginning ofthe Program. Continuing the sessionProf. P. P. Arya, Managing director Dr IT Group of institutes, Banur addressed the students and emphasized the need for extracurricular activities in education, “The objective of this programme is to give students a chance to highlight their various talents, who are from diverse academic different geographic regions of the country. Faculty of Dr IT Group have also coordinated with students and mentored them in organizing the function.” This event witnessed the presence of Mr Chander shekhar(Former Head customer care Bharti, Reliance, HFCL) as esteemed guests .

The college boasts the students from different states of India Ranging from Assam, Bihar, Madhay Pradesh, Orissa to neighboring states of, Haryana ,Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir including Local students. The Programmes includes variety of Games for the students, like fancy dress competition, singing competition, dancing competition, one minute games including blowout ballons, pastry eating, thread in needle etc .The students enjoyed the games and active interaction was seen between the among the students. Students have actively displayed their talents. This interaction shows the healthy environment at the institute that shows the academic Endeavour’s of Dr IT Group. Sandeep and richa scored first and second positions in singing whereas Adityya and group scored first position in Bhangra, Manisha and kritika in solo dance. Rishab Bhatia and Israil scored were given consolation prizes.
