By Y S Rana, Chandigarh- May 25- A two-day exhibition-cum-sale of products prepared by the students of vocational courses of government schools organized by the Education Department Chandigarh Administration was inaugurated here on Friday at Kisan Bhawan, Sector 35.
In the exhibition-cum-sale a variety of teenagers, ladies garments and hand Painted, Block & Screen Printed Linen, Duppattas and other items prepared 10+2 students of Fashion Designing and Clothing Construction and Textile Designing and Printing were exhibited and put to sale.
In all, such Exhibition-cum-Sale has been arranged since 1990 are an effective platform for the students of various vocational courses to practice their entrepreneurial skills and come face to face with the customers. The pocket friendly prices of all items attract large number of people to this Exhibition-cum-Sale.
To provide an opportunity to maximum number of students of various Vocational Courses to participate in this event, students of Health Care & Beauty Culture, Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Food Service & Management and Bakery & Confectionery Vocational Courses also participate in it. Students of Health Care & Beauty Culture had put up stalls of Herbal cosmetic items such as face packs, creams, lotions etc. learnt and prepared by them during their course of On the Job Training.
Approximately 500 students from various government senior secondary schools of fashion designing, textile designing, hotel management and catering, bakery and confectionery and food service management and Health Care and Beauty Culture Vocational Courses are participating in the event.
