Mohali, 11 March: Gurukul Vidyapeeth, Mohali under the banner of NSS Unit organized a book exhibition and Gurukul management conducted a seminar to create awareness among the masses on various aspects related to environment and its protection for our present and future generation.
The main topic of this seminar was “Importance of conserving water and other natural resources” and other topics which were discussed in seminar was “Plan for the Planet”, and “Green Revolution”.
Mr. Manmohan Kumar Garg, Chairman of Gurukul Vidyapeeth said that we have to reiterate our commitment to the cause of the mother earth and resolve to be more responsible and eco-friendly. He also informed that there are millions of humans, plants and animals that on stake in this world and it is our duty to safeguard each and every species to ensure a healthy and joyous future for all of us.
He further added that we should prefer manual work than machines and walk to short distances for saving natural resources and pollution free-environment.
On this occasion Institute Management distributed plant samplings to all the staff members and the students, so that they could contribute to build up a green and clean environment. Mr.Garg told the students and the staff to plant these samplings at their homes or at such places where they could look after these plants and feel satisfied that the plant is growing and they are contributing to environment cleanliness.
