Devastating spells of bowling from Kemar Roach, Darren Sammy and Sulieman Benn helped West Indies record a surprisingly comfortable win over Bangladesh on Friday.
Bangladesh made just 58 all out off 18.3 overs, with only Zunaed Siddique and Mohammad Ashraful registering double figures, after it had lost Tamim Iqbal to the third ball of the match.
Benn (4-18), Roach (3-19) and Sammy (3-21) silenced the home crowd after Bangladesh recorded its lowest ODI total of all time and the lowest total by an ICC Full Member at an ICC Cricket World Cup.
In reply, Chris Gayle showed the Bangladesh batsman what they should have done with some powerful hard hitting.
He made 37 not out as the West Indies achieved a nine-wicket victory with 37.4 overs remaining.
