8 Feb : BJP President Nitin Gadkari is all set to be elected as the party president for a three-year term in the organisational polls on Tuesday.
The submission of nomination papers, scrutiny and withdrawal of papers has to be done between 1000 hrs to 1300 hrs.
Gadkari, who took over as Party President from Rajnath Singh in the last week of December, was likely to be the lone contender and in all probability would be elected unopposed, party sources said.
Electoral Officer Thawar Chand Gehlot will conduct the party presidential elections.
The National Council meeting at Indore, Madhya Pradesh later this month will be ratifying the election of the new President.
