Jorawer Singh, Chandigarh, August 4, 2009: In the on going -TiE Business Plan Competition – EnterPrize, 30 out of 87 entries have been shortlisted today. The Evaluation Committee, chaired by Mr. Manjit Brar, Director IT, Chandigarh, shortlisted plans on the basis of Value Proposition, Economics of Business, Competitive Analysis, Risk Analysis, Sales Strategy, Team and Financial.
“Being the first of its kind competition in India using PPP model with Government partnering” said Mr Manjit Brar expressing his satisfaction that not only did they get a large number of entries but the projects submitted were also of excellent quality. Remarking on the quality of talent garnered Mr Manjit added “The objective of the Chandigarh Administration to identify deserving candidates for the Entrepreneurship Development Centre has been fully met by the Competition.”
“The flourishing spirit of entrepreneurship in the the region is encouraging for creation of IT & Technology focused export oriented enterprises” expressed Mr. Puneet Vatsayan, President, TiE, Chandigarh & Punjab.
A group mentoring session led by Mr Krishna Kumar, Editor in Chief of DARE Magazine, on August 18, would provide an excellent opportunity, for all those who have entered this contest, to think through and refine their business plans for the future, and seek information and guidance. At least twelve best have been promised mentors for the one on one mentoring before the finals.
