Chandigarh, February 9th :“Kashmir :Outpouring Emotions” a painting exhibition by Kamal Nain Bhan was inaugurated by Shri Ram Niwas , Home secretary UT at Museum of Fine Arts, Punjab University, Chandigarh today. Chandigarh Kashmir’s painter depicts pain and trauma of militancy on canvas: Trauma and agony felt by the people after militancy struck scenic Kashmir Valley has been depicted by a deaf and mute painter in the form of some very emotive and eye catching paintings.
Kamal Nain Bhan might not be able to hear the sounds around him but he is very much in sync with the distress and suffering of the people, which he portrays on canvas. The solo show of his paintings titled “Kashmir: Outpouring Emotions”, which opened here recently was a visual treat for the spectators.
Shri Kamal Nain Bhan, an artist of the repute, has earned a name in the fraternity office fellow artists, art critics, and the lovers of art in general. He has to his credit a large collection of works of art on myraid subjects.As a conscious artists, with his focus on the full exploitation of his talent, he uses his canvas for multipal pueposes with artistic finesse. As for his landscape paintings, he does not simply holds mirrors to nature to create a photographic picture. Infact he dipicts natural scenes and the multi layered loveliness of nature as such , and making these more vibrant than what they are in there natural form, by adding to them the modifying colours of his imagination.
Mr Bhan is renouned artist of J & K state. He has recieved deservedly , many accolades, in his state and outside, for the excellence of his art form. In recognition of his contribution in the field of fine arts, he has been given awards within and outside his home state.
Being optimistic and positive in his outlook he conveys the message of peace, communal harmony and social cohensiveness. He also depicts the rich culture tradition of the people of jammu and kashmir state.
Shri kamal Nain Bhan is a kashmiri pandit,and is the pride of community. Having being of victim of terrorism in the land of origin,he has poryrayed in his painting the turbulence that erupted in kashmir,throwing into disarray the common man,and affecting especially the kashmiri pandits,who were chased away from their homes and hearths.Their agony and trauma have been found in kamals work
