15 Oct :Indian Oil Corp. Ltd., Chandigarh today organized free eye check-up camp for its XTRAPOWER Fleet card customers at Transport Area, Chandigarh with the help of Care Health Society (Regd.), eye specialists from GMCH-32 and the Chandigarh Transport Association.
It is common knowledge that good eye-sight is the best friend of a driver, more so in the case of truck drivers. However, what is not commonly known is that regular eye check-ups and corrective action can not only lead to better eye-sight but may also avoid road accidents which cause loss to life and property. More than 150 truckers attended the free eye check-up camp at Transport Nagar today. Speaking at the inauguration function, Sh. K.K. Abrol, President, Chandigarh Transport Association thanked IndianOil, on behalf of the transport community, for launching XTRAPOWER, a transporter-friendly card and for organizing free eye check-up for the truckers. IndianOil’s XTRAPOWER Fleet card offers free personal accident insurance and medical insurance to the fleet owner and crew, in addition to loyalty points and other benefits.
In his message to the gathering, Sh. Gurmeet Singh, DGM, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Punjab State Office thanked the customers of IndianOil for their valuable business and assured that the Corporation would continue to launch several new initiatives like best-in-the-market Loyalty programs, Retail Outlet upgradation, Automation besides other value-added-services like ATMs, Convenience Shopping Centres and food joints at the Retail Outlets. He also stated that in order to meet specific needs of truckers, IndianOil has started Swagat Retail Outlets on Highways.
