Barinder Saluja, Chandigarh,May 31 : A day in a life of a daily wage labour counts only to how much he has earned at the end of the day to be able to provide bread & butter for his Children’s. But, Pankaj kumar, son of a daily wage labourer, Gopal Kumar, hailing from Sunam has changed the life of his parents by securing AIR 33rd rank (Reserved category) of CBSE-PMT (mains- Roll No. 5704614), Medical entrance test, making his sect very proud of him. A student of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Longowal (Sangrur) and A.K. Vidyamandir, having secured 87% each in 10th and 12th Board Exams. “I want to take up Neurology as my main stream in Medical career. I will also appear in AIIMS & Punjab PMT test and will definately join AIIMS for my MBBS. I studied for 10-12 hours daily”, exclaimed Pankaj jubilantly.
The staff and teaches of A.K.Vidya Mandir, sector 34 were very proud and all praises for Pankaj. “we spotted the spark in this boy right from the day one when he joined the institute. His ability to understand and absorbing the lessons were far much advanced than that of other students. Very dedicated, humble, good at homework, regular & never misses the classes,” were the words of praises by his teacher Ms. Ambika.
Pankaj said that after completing his studies he want to serve in his own town where his parents and brothers work as Daily Labours.
