The India Post, 30th September, 2008 :Live dramatic presentation of epic scenes from Ramayana by kbdav-7 students won all praise by chief guest major General Rajesh Pant On the onset of Navratras, on 30th September 2008 evening the premises of Kailash Bahl DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 7-B, Chandigarh.Eembarked with extra energy when the enthusiast KBDAVians performed excellently a high-tech light and sound 2½ hours live stage show depicting epic scenes from Ramayana amidst 4000 school parents, 250 students delegates, the special guest of the city participating in 3rd International Peace Festival from Pakistan, Nepal & Iran in school.
The Chief Guest of the Day, Major General Rajesh Pant marked the beginning of this rich religious bonanza – ‘Ram Leela’ by lighting the lamp. He said, "It is remarkable and unique endeavor on Principal Madhu Bahl’s part to present such a grand show at the platform of KBDAV for the parents and ambassadors of several countries carrying back with them the message of love, sacrifice and respect to elders indeed seen missing in todays time."
To grace the occasion other dignitaries present were Mr. Justice A.L. The teacher ambassadors from Pakistan were highly impressed to see the ‘Junoon’ and enthusiasm of the young artists performing effortlessly on a historic epic of such grandeur. They were in all praise for KBDAVian Dramatic Club.
The special guest of honour Mrs. Madhu Bansal showering accolades on the performance of young artist said, "Such an effort is really worth praising where students, guests and parents can learn so much in such a short span of time."
School Principal in her welcome note said, the school is committed to imbibe good values among the students and shall be organizing such functions depicting rich Indian Religious Heritage. She said, "Dramatization of such timeless epics at school level can inculcate an unleashing power in the hearts & minds of these young students to become obedient & contended citizens of the world."
When questioned, the confident Mohit, studying in Class XI playing the role of ‘Ravana’ completely caught up with character says, "This is a life time opportunity given to me at this age and I am at my best to reveal the role which I feel is the most powerful one."
Enthralled Saurav playing the role Lakshaman says, "Honestly speaking earlier either we had read or seen parts of Ramayana on TV but actually performing live on stage is virtually imbibing good thoughts and values in ourselves."
In short, Indian Epic Ramayana undoubtedly the most popular and timeless epic read and loved by all was in all praise by the audience at the stage of KBDAV-7 with the message for all – "The Victory of Good Over Evil".
