CHANDIGARH, AUG 23 : Mohali were in a strong position after scoring 311 for 9 in 95 overs in their first innings against Ropar Zone B in the semi-final match of the Punjab Inter-District Under-19 Cricket Tournament for Dhruv Pandove Trophy at the PCA Stadium in Mohali today.
Later, when Ropar came in to bat, Mohali got two quick wickets in nine overs as their rivals were reeling at 30 for 2.Ropar Zone B won the toss and elected to field. Arshdeep and Yuvraj Singh hit brilliant knocks of 81 and 74, respectively, as Mohali posted 311 for 9 in 95 overs. Arshdeep’s innings contained nine fours and one six. Gurkeerat contributed a valuable 65.
Krishan Alang was the most successful bowler for Ropar as he claimed five wickets for117 runs. Arjun and Avnish bagged two wickets each for 80 and 31, respectively.
In reply, Ropar lost two quick wickets for 30 runs in nine overs.

At Dhruv Pandove Stadium in Patiala, Patiala posed 292 for 9 in 95 overs in their first innings against Amritsar in the second semi-final match.
The highlight of their innings was a fine century by Preet Kamal who scored 101. Robin Dhillon (67) and Sahil Sachdev (44) were their other main scorers.
Pankaj (2 for 74), Baljeet (2 for 39) and Vinay Chaudhary (2 for 75) were the main wicket takers for Amritsar.
