Chandigarh, March 17- Former Haryana Finance Minister and sitting MLA, Prof. Sampat Singh has thanked President United Progressive Alliance (UPA), Mrs Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Finance Minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee and Railway Minister, Mr Dinesh Dwivedi for presenting the progressive and growth oriented Railway and Union Budget 2012-13. In a statement issued here today, Mr Sampat Singh said that the budgets presented this year would help in the all round development of Haryana. The sanction of Rs 50 crore to CCS Haryana Agricultural University would take the level of research in agricultural sciences to new heights in the state. The approval of railway line from Hansi to Rohtak via Meham would not only facilitate the people of the state but would also be very beneficial to the entrepreneurs. The new rail line linking Hisar directly to Delhi would prove a milestone in the development of the state and would open new opportunities for the industrialists and traders of the area. He said that Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda had already promised free land and to bear half of the total cost of it in the Haryana budget. Delhi was the commercial hub of our country and this rail line would encourage the enterprenuers to set up their ventures in the state which will result in generating more employment opportunities. It would result in increased production of domestic products, better employment opportunities and more revenue for the state. The area from Hisar to Delhi would become an industrial and business centre, he added. He also thanked the Member of Parliament, Mr Deepender Hooda for his prominent role in approval of new rail line for Haryana. Vivek Express from Bandra to Jammu via Hisar had started from today. It would ease out the pressure on road traffic and help in saving diesel and petrol. The direct rail link of Bandra to Jammu via Hisar had set the beginning of a new era for the people of Hisar, he added. He said that the sanction of new projects to Haryana had also conveyed a strong message to the people who indulge in criticizing the Chief Minister for confining development to a certain area that Chief Minister was committed for the all round development of the entire state. The work on rail line Rewari to Rohtak via Jhajhar was also in progress and which would be completed by June-July.
