Chandigarh May 12, 2012. Mr. Satya Pal Jain, Ex-City MP and National Incharge of the Legal & Legislative Cell of the BJP, has once again demanded that the investigation into a complaint of cheating of 1 Lakh Pound (about 70-80 Lakh rupees) lodged by a British Lady, and now another similar complaint of cheating by a reputed chartered accountant of Chandigarh against certain influential leaders of Congress (I) as well as against certain officials, quite close to a Central Minister, be handed over to CBI (Delhi) after withdrawing it from the local police.
In a statement issued here today, Mr. Jain said that though these complaints are reported to have been lodged about a month back, but the local police has not even registered an FIR on these complaints till date. This shows how ‘seriously’ the local police is taking these highly serious matters. He said that in the complaint, the name of a very powerful ‘central minister’ and certain officers who were and who are quite close to him have also been mentioned. He said that since most of the local police officials are acting under the directions of this central minister, therefore people do not expect a fair investigation in this matter from the local police.
Mr. Jain said that it is astonishing that the local police is keeping absolutely mum on such serious complaints involving corruption at higher levels of government. He urged the local police to tell the truth to the public about the latest factual position about these complaints because very powerful and highly placed people have been reported to be involved in these ‘frauds’.
