30 Nov : Government has decided to launch a special recruitment drive to fill up the backlog in reserved vacancies for persons with disabilities and asked various ministries and departments to complete the task by the middle of next year.
A detailed plan of action has been chalked out by the government to fill up the vacancies existing as on 15th November this year.
Setting a target for the entire process, the Ministry of Personnel said various ministries and departments will issue instructions to all appointing authorities in this regard by 4th December.
While the ministries will identify the backlog in reserved vacancies by 31st December, UPSC, Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and other recruiting agencies will advertise them by 28th February next.
The recruiting agencies will receive the applications by 15th April and hold tests and interviews by 31st May, the ministry directive said, adding that letters offering appointment may be issued to the selected candidates by 15th July.
All ministries and departments have been asked to monitor the drive and review its progress from time to time as the government has to file a report to the Supreme Court in this regard, it said.
“It is expected that a large number of the backlog vacancies would be filled by February 15 and the remaining by March 30, next year. If any vacancy still remains unfilled, it should be filled up latest by July 15,” the Ministry of Personnel said.
In order to monitor the progress of the drive, it also sought reports from various ministries, departments, autonomous bodies and public sector undertakings first by 15th February and second by 30th March indicating the progress made up to those dates and a final report by 31st July.
The apex court had earlier directed the Centre to file a detailed status report regarding the extent to which the posts had been identified and filled up and also what steps had been taken to fill up the vacancies that had arisen since the Disabilities Act has come into force in 1996.
Himachal Pradesh Govt. is not following the rule of PWD Act 1995 . One of Local Audit Department of Himachal Govt and H.P. State Electricity Board had received the application for various post 30-06-2009 and 03-04-2010 respectively but they had not take test and interview .
Govt. has not fixed deadline to fill up the post.
As it is mentioned on the different wave site that the backlog of disabled candidates will be filled till mid of this year, but practically it is not so.it is just joke with disabled candidates because in rajasthan govt RPSC is not filling the vacancies of RAS/RTS as per the norms of reservation given to P.H.candidates.At last this is my appeal to all govt bodies to fill the post honestly by disabled candidates alloted as per their quota.
This is the most worst situation a disabled person may have ever faced. From where will the Persons with Disabilities get the Experience. This is not going to help anyway to disabled People.
This is the indirect solution found to neglect disabled people from the society.
Disabled are made more and more helpless by asking experience.
This makes very much clear that government will noway help to the disabled.
………….
No words to say.. Nothing remained to express as NTPC,IOCL have
advertised as special recruitment drive but I am sure only binary number of people would fulfill the criteria of selection.
And these people will declare that Disabled People are not qualified and other stuff..
