Chandgarh,6 July:Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda has said a Central university in the name of Lord Krishna would be set up over an area of 500 acre in Mahendragarh to provide better educational facilities to students of this area.
Addressing a public rally at Mahendragarh on Sunday, the Chief Minister said as many as 525 water courses would be lined at a cost of Rs 150 crore to irrigate 99,383 hectares in five districts of Jhajjar, Rewari, Gurgaon, Mahendragarh and Bhiwani.
Of these, 104 water courses were in Mahendragarh district only.He asked the farmers to dig ponds in their fields with help being extended by the Centre and State government.
The Chief Minister announced setting up of the Government College for Women on the Mahendragarh-Narnaul road.Earlier, Hooda inaugurated R. 5.65-crore water supply schemes and laid the foundation stone of an ITI at Malra Bass village in the district. Courtsey : DD NEWS
