BY MOHD MAJID MALIK , DODA,AUG 19 :Like previous year this year too historical Roshra Yatra commences here which will reach Roshra at Mata Sheetla temple tomorrow .About ten thousand people this year participated in the Yatra and will visit the Sheetla Mata temple which is only 16 km away from the main Bhaderwah town situated in crowded forests of Bhaderwah near famous picnic spot Jai Bhaderwah .The devotees today started by foot journey towards the destination included women’s ,teen ages and old age persons by shouting religious songs and slogans .This year the devotees arrived here at Bhaderwah for the Yatra from Ramban ,Udhampur , Kishtwar ,Gool Gulab Garh ,Kathua and Sambha and added that they will pray for humanity ,peace ,communal harmony and brotherhood and amity .
It is also pertinent to mention here that many times some anti-social elements brunt this temple to communalize the atmosphere but local people included Muslims and Hindus defuse the tension .This year local administration led by ASP Bhaderwah T R Katoch ,SDPO Ab.Quyoom and SHO Bhaderwah himself supervised the whole security arrangements. Not only this the local administration provided tents, shelters and eatable goods to Yatris while marching ahead . The Sheetla Mata temple is about one hundred years old and people there will dance on the tunes of Deko local drum beating and langers will also be arranged and people pray there for near and dears .
