Bhopal:Tuesday, June 8 : Applications for Haj 2010 from government quota can be submitted by June 30. Necessary guidelines have been issued in this connection. Applications along with recommendation for government Haj quota will have to be directly sent to Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Giving this information, CEO of State Haj Committee Shri Dawood Ahmad Khan informed that seats under the government Haj quota will be released by the Foreign Ministry in the first week of July. The applicants will have to make direct contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in this connection.
Shri Khan informed that according to information given by Haj Committee of India, Mumbai, it will be mandatory for such applicants that they should not have gone on Haj pilgrimage during the last five years through Haj Committee of India. The application should be submitted in two copies with three photographs with the recommendation of an MP, Central or state minister. For the proof of residence/citizenship, an applicant will have to furnish two attested photo copies of ration card, driving licence, identity card, voter identity card and PAN card. The application should reach the office of Under Secretary (Haj), Foreign Ministry, Government of India, Room No. 224, Akbar Bhawan, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi 110021 by June 30, 2010.
