Bhopal:Saturday, November 1, 2008:Chairperson of Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission Justice Shri D.M. Dharmadhikari has said that the mothers of SOS Children’s Villages must bring up their children as responsible citizens instead of Hindus or Muslims. Shri Dharmadhikari said that mothers imbue virtues, discipline and good manners among children.
In this way, they are also saviours of culture. Shri Dharmadhikari expressed these views on the occasion of inauguration of four-day workshop organised for the mothers of SOS Children’s Villages of western region. His wife Smt. Sanhita Dharmadhikari, Additional Secretary to the Governor, Shri J.N. Malpani and director of Children’s Village Dr. K.N. Pathak were specially present on the occasion. As many as 65 mothers of two SOS Children’s Villages of Bhopal and one each from Latur and Pune in Maharashtra and Bhuj in Gujarat will be imparted training of bringing up children and related issues.
Justice Dharmadhikari said that mothers have moral strength which makes a children discipline and well mannered. Mothers of SOS Children’s Villages should imbue such virtues and qualities among their children that they respect every religion after growing up. Such liberal persons are needed by society most. Additional Secretary to the Governor, Shri Malpani said that the method of upbringing of children at SOS Villages is a sources of inspiration.
Director of the Children’s Village Dr. K.N. Pathak informed that the mothers of SOS Villages share their experiences and styles of work during the workshop. Shri Pathak said that Smt. Punita Buddhiraja will deliver a lecture in the morning of the second day on the subject ‘Various disciplinary methods and control over juvenile misbehaviour’. This will be followed by lectures of Kumari Vibha and Kumari Aradhana on balance nutritious diet and budget management.
During the afternoon session, lectures will delivered on teaching role of guardians, effective praise, improvement-oriented and prohibiting teaching and self-control. Shri Pathak said that in the morning session on November 3, group discussions will be held and a lecture will be delivered by Shri Vijay Joshi on ‘Anger and tension control’. In the afternoon session, Dr. Ashutosh Pandit and Shri M.P. Sharma will deliver lectures on ‘Development of lifestyle’ and ‘Control over juvenile misbehaviour’ respectively. On November 4, the participating mothers will be taken on the tour of Bhojpur and Bhimbethka tourists sports. At the conclusion of the function Dr. Pathak presented mementoes to guests while Sushri Sunita Singh proposed a vote of thanks. On this occasion, children of the SOS Village presented various attractive cultural programmes.
