Bhopal:Thursday, April 3, 2008:Facility of reservation in National Parks in Madhya Pradesh has been provided to tourists through MP Online. Now the tourists can secure reservation from anywhere in the country as well as world while sitting at home by using internet and credit card. The tourists can also secure advance reservation through authorised kiosks of MP Online by making cash payment. Besides, maximum limit of vehicles for tourists has also been fixed in four National Parks.
The Forest Department has provided this facility from this year to tourists for Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Pench and Panna National Parks. Tourists can have further information about reservation as well list of authorised kiosks by logging on to www.mponline.gov.in and clicking the link Authorised Kiosk List. This system would be helpful in implementing the concept of capacity limit in the four National Parks. The capacity limit would provide a peaceful atmosphere to tourists.
The maximum limit of the vehicles entering the four National Parks has also been fixed. Accordingly, everyday 150 vehicle would be allowed to simultaneously enter Kanha National Park, 155 in Bandhavgarh National Park, 65 in Pench National Park and 70 in Panna National Park. After implementation of this system, it had become imperative for tourists to know before hand as to when they would get a chance to enter a particular national park. With this in view, reservation facility for entering National Parks has been started on internet.
Similarly, 80 percent of total capacity of National Parks has been allocated for reservation while 20 percent capacity would be available for instant reservation at the gates of these Parks. Advance reservation can be sought till a day before the visit by 3 pm. In case total quota of advance reservations for a particular day is not availed, rests of the quota would be available for instant reservation.
