Bhopal:Monday, November 1 : The Bhopal Municipal Corporation will start the Ram Roti Yojana at four Rein Baseras in the city on November 2. The scheme will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan at a function at Yadgar-e-Shahjehani Park in the evening.
Under the scheme, food will be served at the rate of Rs 5 per head to the poor travellers making a night halt at these Rein Baseras. The food packet will contain 6 Rotis, cooked vegetable, pickles, onion and green chilly. For the night halt at the Rein Baseras in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur, only Rs 2 per night will be charged against which every traveller will be provided a Durrie, a bed-sheet, blanket and pillow apart from facility of lavatory and bath.
The Ram Roti Yojana will be launched at Indore and Jabalpur on November 3 while November 4 at Gwalior. At Jabalpur, the scheme will be launched by Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Babulal Gaur.
