Minister of State for School Education and Incharge of Balaghat district Shri Nanabhau Mohod has said that the State Government will give pension to the parents with two daughters who have undergone family planning operation. Adequate provisions have been made in the state’s new budget under this head. Shri Mohod was addressing an Antyodaya Mela at Baraseoni in Balaghat district on Thursday. Member of Parliament Shri K.D. Deshmukh was also present on the occasion. At the Mela, assistance worth Rs. 3 crore 79 lakh was given away to 3,712 beneficiaries.
The Incharge Minister announced to upgrade middle school of village Kochewahi to high school. Shri Mohod performed bhumi poojan of the houses to be constructed for 11 fishermen at village Bakera. Cheques worth Rs. 10 thousand each were handed over to selected fishermen.
Addressing the fair, Cooperatives Minister Shri Gaurishankar Bisen said that Public Service Delivery Guarantee Act has been implemented in the state to ensure speedy completion of people’s works. He talked about construction of a bridge on Banganga River at a cost of Rs. 15 crore at Jagpur Ghat. Shri Bisen announced sanction of Rs. 25 lakh for drinking water scheme of village Umarwara.
