30 June : Minister for Urban Development, Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu released an English feature film titled ‘Toshi’ A Biography today at a simple function at his private residence.
Formally releasing the film, Dr. Liezietsu said that a new beginning has been made through this film. He commented that Nagaland is a late started in many walks of life but said that it is never too late and encouraged everyone in the profession to try and excel in the field. He also congratulated the Producer/Director of the film, Alempokba, Principal Sao Chang College, Tuensang and all the actors of the film for successfully bring out the film and wished them the best in their near future ventures.
Giving a short introduction about the film, Producer/Director, Alempokba said that it paints a picture of the negative trails in our society and impresses upon the viewers to give up such behaviours. It also depicts the love that can happen between the haves and have-nots to overcome such negative elements of our society.
The release function was chaired by Lecturer, Sao Chang College, Vinyuhu Lhoungu while Vice Principal, Kohima Bible College, Pete Krose said the Invocation and a special number was presented by Lipok Longkumer, Naga Idol Finalist (2007).
The full length feature film with dialogues in English has Imomar and Tiarenla (Miss Northeast 2006) in the lead roles acting in afeature film for the first time. The film in DVD format will be available in the market for Rs. 150/-.
