New Delhi , 31.05.2012 ; This has reference to the queries of Media regarding today’s order of Trial Court related to Dara Singh alleged Fake Encounter Case.
The order of the Trial Court is awaited. On receipt of the orders, CBI will examine and take necessary legal action, as per merit of the Court’s order. However, today’s order of Trial Court has not in any way affected the trial, already continuing, against rest of the accused persons.
CBI had filed its first charge sheet against 16 accused persons on 03.06.2011 in Dara Singh Fake Encounter Case. The charges against 12 accused persons, in judicial custody, have been framed by the Court of District & Session Judge, Jaipur and trial against them is in progress. The prosecution witnesses are being examined by the Trial Court. The remaining 4 accused persons are absconding.
After completion of further investigation, CBI filed Supplementary charge sheet against the then Minister of Rajasthan Government (presently an MLA) on 05.04.2012. The case was committed to the Sessions Court for further proceedings. After committal, arguments on charge by the prosecution and defence, which took place for 3 days, were completed on 22.05.2012 and the Trial Court has passed order for not framing charges against the then Minister of Rajasthan Government (presently an MLA).
