CHANDIGARH, MAY 14 :A 22-member Indian squad for the AFC (South Asian Zone) Cup for under-13 boys Football Festival to be held at Yazd City (Iran) from May 18 to 28, was made public today at the conclusion of the one-month national coaching camp at the Sector 17 here.West Bengal and Mizoram have contributed a lion’s share. Eight boys from West Bengal and six players from Mizoram figure among the 22-member team. Three are from Mizoram, two from Kerala and one each from Goa, Haryana and Assam.
India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan are competing in the Iran U-13 Festival.
Coach Satheevan Balan said that the boys would be divided into two teams. One team (XI)will play in the first match and next XI will play in the next match and so on.
