Chandigarh 16th October; The Central Government has issued orders to release 30 days Non-Productivity Linked (Ad-Hoc) Bonus with maximum limit of Rs. 3500 to the employees by orders dated 13.9.2011. Further, the Central Government has issued orders to release 7 % Dearness Allowance w.e.f. 1.7.2011 and make cash payment of arrears vide orders dated 3.10.2011.
Normally, the payments of Bonus and arrears of Dearness Allowance are released before Dussehra or Karva Chauth festivals so that the employees can also celebrate these festivals and make plans for Diwali festival.
But the Financial Adviser, PGI has failed to timely release the payment of Bonus and arrears of Dearness Allowance of about Rs. 6000-8000 to more than 4000-5000 employees each.
Sources have revealed that the lame excuses of Accpounts Branch of PGI that it could not arrange a floppy disc for data transfer to Bank causing unnecessary harassment and perhaps 1-2 two Clerks have proceeded on leave is ridiculous and untenable.MTA strongly condemns the callous and indifferent attitude of Financial Adviser, and sorry state of affairs of Accounts Branch of PGI, which has spoiled the celebrations of festivals of PGI employees.
