Chandigarh 27th October, 2012: OXL Films recently produced a Punjabi film which reveals the tragic history of Punjab. As it is disapproved by the Censor Board, the film made in Punjabi Language has not released on its scheduled time. This film puts light on the disastrous time which lasted from 1980’s to mid 1990’s.The audience who were eagerly waiting for the release of this film are quite dismayed due to its delay. This film is highly reviewd ever since its production commenced on Holla Mohalla in February 2012 at Anandpur Sahib. The Punjabi people living in India and abroad were eagerly waiting for the release of the film which is said to speak volumes about the catastrophic time which lasted from from 1980’s to mid 1990’s. Written by Kuljinder S. Sidhu, this film is going to be very unique yet very realistic. The calamitous and ruinous events of history will be portrayed very well on the silver screen. The story and characters of the film are inspired from real- life characters. The film not only depicts the reality of the community who gave sacrifices for the country but also it will compel the audience to learn a lesson to save Punjab from this turmoil in times to come.
Kuljinder Sidhu, the story-writer of the film promulgated, “History repeats itself when the mistakes committed in the history are not checked and improved, so undoubtedly this film will be an eye-opener.” Kuljinder S.Sidhu played the role of a major character in the film. Directed by Mandeep Benipal, the action of the film is directed by Darshan Mahal. Besides this, the film stars Parmod Matho, Dinesh Sood, Dhriti Saharan, Gaurav Kakkar. Kuljinder S.Sidhu also proclaimed, “There are two plots of this film. The first plot portrays the times of militancy and the second plot reveals the viewpoint of today’s youth pertaining to those times.”
