“JAGO RASTRA JAGO”
Kishore Kumar ‘Vidhrohi’,Zirakpur : Approximately seven years back a report was published on the AVAILABILITY of WATER… which points out that water will not be easily found by the end of the year 2030. Yes, this is absolutely correct and is bound to happen because our population is increasing by leaps and bounds every year. Almost all the political parties are silent on this burning issue of ever growing population in the country. In fact, controlling of country’s population and education for all should had been on the top of their agenda. The country’s population which is increasing unchecked is eating away all the progress we make and is also responsible for the increasing violence and poverty in the society. Whatever progress we make is nullified by ever multiplying population. We are made to destroy farms to build housing societies, trees are cut down for 4-laning of the roads just to accommodate ever growing population. Whereas these trees used to provide shade and shelter during acute summer and did hold water during monsoon and also added to the natural beauty to our surroundings. Is this the construction work of roads and buildings a progress or destruction of the natural resources? Lets us all think and ponder over it… It is high time now to effect right steps for controlling this population blast and enjoy the life as this will solve almost 50% of our problems. Any political party taking this population explosion seriously will be doing a great service to the Nation as well as to the total mankind which will ultimately result in all round development without having to destroy the natural gifts of the nature like forests, water resources and wild life etc. Just two point formula is the need of the hour…”Spread education & Check population”…which will automatically save the country from many evils. It is clearly written on the walls that the coming wars will be fought for water and food…so “JAGO RASTRA JAGO”
