Chandigarh: Advocate Rajiv Sharma, bronze medalist in rowing at the national level, former rowing coach, National Umpire Rowing, Associate Joint Secretary Rowing Federation of India, Senior Vice President Chandigarh Olympic association and Secretary, Chandigarh Rowing Association, has been named “Chef de Mission” of the Chandigarh Olympic Association for the 38th National Games. These National Games will be held in Uttarakhand in February 2025.
Rajiv Sharma, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Chandigarh Olympic Association, he will lead the Chandigarh contingent in 38th National Games at Uttrakhand. His appointment has been made keeping in mind his sporting and administrative experience.
Rajiv Sharma won a bronze medal in rowing at the national level in 1985 National games held at New Delhi and at Chandigarh and has since made significant contributions to sports administration and coaching. He has played an important role in helping Chandigarh players achieve success at the national and international level.
The Chandigarh Olympic Association has expressed hope that the Chandigarh team under the leadership of Rajiv Sharma will perform well in the National Games. There is a possibility of a great performance of Chandigarh players in various sports in this prestigious event to be held in Uttarakhand.
