Gharuan (Mohali) – Corporate leaders of major Technology, Retail, Business Strategy, Finance, Human Resources, Corporate Responsibility, Marketing and Auto companies on Saturday hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership and landmark initiatives for giving a new momentum for women empowerment, turning job seekers to job providers with booming Startup ecosystem, making India a global manufacturing hub in the past 10 years and ensuring equitable development of all Regions and States,.
Participating in the 10th Corporate Advisory Board (CAB) 2024 Industry-Academia Meet organized by Chandigarh University with the theme “Innovating Together for Achieving Viksit Bharat @2047 Vision” at its Gharuan campus in Mohali (SAS Nagar) on Saturday, the captains of the industry said PM Modi’s initiatives have gone a long way in empowering women and creating a level-playing field for women in all fields including business during the past 10 years.
Describing PM Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047 as a complete blueprint for the country’s prosperity, they said PM Modi over the last 10 years has turned India into the 3rd largest StartUp ecosystem of the world which is helping the youth turn job providers from job seekers with scheme like Mudra Yojana.
The captains of the industry said since 2014, India is rapidly moving towards becoming the world’s largest manufacturing hub as the Modi government has provided positive policy environment for the development of industries in the country. The corporate leaders said PM Modi in the last 10 years has ensured equitable development of every region and state with the mantra of ‘equitable development’.
A total of about 110 representatives from the top global and Indian companies including Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), Senior Vice-Presidents and Vice-Presidents, Managing Directors, Chief human resources officers, and other senior functionaries of top-notch companies and think-tanks of the corporate world attended the CAB-2024, a national level platform to bring together all the four stakeholders – Government, Industry, Academia and Student Community – together.
Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Chandigarh University Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu and Prof. Himani Sood, Pro Chancellor Chandigarh University were amongst the dignitaries of the university present on the occasion.
Delivering his address during CAB-2024, Chandigarh University Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu said, “Bharat is undergoing a major transformation in almost every field and the ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas’ mantra of the government has resulted in the upliftment of the socio-economic status of 140 Crore Indians. The basic needs of every individual, which includes food, healthcare, and education, have been addressed for the first time at the ground level where the benefits of various social welfare schemes have actually reached the poor and underprivileged. The encouragement given to the industry in the form of various reforms has boosted the investment in the nation, and hence, led to new job creation opportunities for the youth.”
No other government empowered women like Modi government

Shalini Bishnoi, the Senior Manager of Compensation & Benefits (Comp & Ben) and the Strategy vertical at Mediatek India Technologies, lauded India’s transformation into world’s 5th largest economy from 10th largest in 2014.

PM Modi ushered in entrepreneurial transformation of India with Startup ecosystem

Debyani further praised the substantial growth of Chandigarh University since its inception, emphasizing that the first CAB meeting was focused on fostering student employability, now evolved to contribute towards nation-building.

India is soon transforming into global manufacturing hub
Amit Sinha, DGM Samsung Electronics, said, “India has emerged as one of the largest manufacturing hub of the world in the past 10 years of PM Modi government. Many top-notch manufacturing brands have shifted their base to India’s manufacturing industry from China to India in recent years due to PLI scheme launched by the Modi government which has encouraged the multi-national companies to establish manufacturing units in India. The industry-friendly policies and reforms undertaken during the past 10 years of Modi government; Make-in-India initiative has encouraged the industry to set up manufacturing units here.
Vinod Parur, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at RR Kabel Limited, said, “The manufacturing sector has been boosted especially in the semi-conductor industry as the govt is laying thrust on chip design sector. Recently, PM Modi has announced establishment of chip manufacturing hub in Gujarat where a number of companies from US are establishing there manufacturing units here and soon India will become the next semi-conductor industry hub of the world. This is the first time that India has turned into a defence equipment manufacturing hub while during last 60 years, we were only importing these equipments from spending our foreign reserves.”
