Chandigarh, March 3. “The city of Ayodhya is filled with Lord Ram’s blessing and just love. The distance between Punjab and Ayodhya is a journey of faith and love in which hundreds of people joined us and gave blessings”, said Baba Harjeet Singh Rasulpur at Law Bhavan on Sunday.
“Our Sikh Guru said that ‘God is One’ and this is the reason, even if I am Nihang Singh, I have equal faith in Sanatan Dharma as in Sikhism”, Rasulpur added.
In a facilitation ceremony organized by Joshi Foundation at Law Bhawan on Sunday, as many as 75 organizations honored Nihang Baba Harjit Singh Rasulpur for setting up langar services at Ayodhya on the occasion of ‘Pran Pratishta’ ceremony of Lord Ram’s idol.
Nihang Baba Harjit Singh Rasulpur is the eighth descendant of Nihang Baba Fakir Singh Khalsa, who along with 25 Nihang Sikhs had captured the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya and had performed havan in it in November 1858. Intending to carry forward Nihang Baba Fakir Singh Khalsa’s devotion towards Lord Ram and to serve devotees coming from across the world, Nihang Baba Harjit Singh Rasulpur had set up langar for the devotees coming from across the world at Shri Char Dham Mandir in Ayodhya’s Pramodvan area, from January 14 till date.
While speaking at the facilitation ceremony on Sunday, Nihang Baba Harjit Singh added that it is a proud moment that Punjab was recognized by people around the world for its langar service started by our Gurus.
Joshi Foundation chairman Vineet Joshi and president Saurabh Joshi said, “Nihang Baba Harjit Singh not only represented his ancestors by setting up the langar but represented the entire Punjab and Punjabiyat. Singh’s act stands as a profound gesture, symbolizing the honor bestowed upon Sikhs and Punjab.
