The India Post, 17th November,2008 : Students of the Rotract Club of MCM DAV College for women, Chandigarh along with their coordinator Mrs. Madhu Marwaha visited the Paediatrics unit of PGI and interacted with the children from all over North India, who are suffering from Cancer.
They regaled the young patients by presenting a cultural program of song and dance and played various games with them. They also carried some gifts for them. The project was designed to sensitize our youth towards the suffering of these innocent children by having a first hand experience with them.
The Principal of the college, Dr. (Mrs.) Puneet Bedi appreciated the efforts of the students. She commented that the students of the college thus get to see the life closely and take lessons from it. Our efforts are not just to give our students theoretical knowledge but also to cultivate a humane approach towards life.
