Chandigarh. August 27: As all beautiful things comes to an end, the meetings of young students and equally enthusiastic teachers from Yishun Secondary School, Singapore with their buddies and host Schools & Colleges under an Internationalization Programme of Education Department, Chandigarh ended today with fun & fervour.
On their last day of stay in city of gardens Chandigarh, the visitors went first in the morning to Saupin’s School, where they saw Science Games and played with Robots made by Students of the School. The School choir also involved them playing musical instruments and sing songs with them.
Later a valedictory function was organized at Manav Mangal Smart School, in Mohali, where Shri SK Setia, DPI (Schools) was the Chief Guest. After which the Singapore delegates left for Agra to see TAJ Mahal and day after tomorrow they’ll be meeting Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal, Union Minister of State for Finance over a cup of tea in his office at North Block, before moving to see the Parliament House and Gandhi Smriti.
Now, local buddies (host students attached with guest) like Vidhi, a student of 10th class in KB DAV Sr. Sec. Public School are eagerly waiting for month of October to come, when they’ll visit Singapore to further strengthen these global ties.
